My husband and I did just about everything ourselves for our wedding. I'm a professional caterer, so we did the food. With lots of help we also made the invitations, decorations, flower arrangements, bouquets, and set up everything. Obviously, we were on a TIGHT budget, so initially we had no plans of hiring a photographer (other than perhaps a photography student or even have a family member document.)
We were gifted our photographer, Rachel, whom we found through McGinnis Booking, and I am so thankful we were. Looking back, it's worth investing in a quality photographer to document your wedding. There are so many precious memories that fade out over time without something to remember them by. I can't tell you the number of times I've looked over our photos since receiving them and have fallen in love with each and every one.
Not only were we given a beautiful preservation of those sweet memories of our wedding day, but we had a great experience working with Rachel and Isaiah. They are so much fun to work with! I love that they're interactive with their clients. They made Jayce and me laugh so much during the sessions both before and after the wedding! It felt more like they were part of the party and not just a hired crew of photographers.
About the photos, I think the proof is in the pudding! They turned out beautifully. Rachel and Isaiah gave us sneak peaks at the wedding as they were photographing, so we knew they would be good. But when we received the albums, we were blown away. Rachel definitely has a unique style, and they're absolutely beautiful! Jayce and I are so thankful to have had them there!!
